Open Gardens Weekend
Step beyond the garden gate and spend a gentle spring weekend exploring one of South Australia’s most historically significant colonial estates. Still lovingly cared for by sixth-generation Fox family descendants, Marybank is a rare time capsule where heritage, nature and family stories are deeply entwined.
Across fourteen acres, you’ll find secret garden paths, sweeping vineyard views and some truly extraordinary botanical companions. Our collection includes five Picconia excelsa from the Canary Islands, an endangered species scarcely seen in Australia. Along with a venerable Schinus polygamus (Chilean Pepper Tree) and an ancient Port Jackson Fig that has quietly watched over Marybank for more than a century. These trees alone make the estate a garden lover’s delight… but the whole place becomes something magical in spring.
What to Expect
Wander at your own pace, picnic on the lawns and enjoy a seasonal garden experience that invites you to slow down and breathe in the moment.
