Marybank Estate Wines
Small-batch wines, grown in the Adelaide foothills.
To Love & To Legacy.
The estate's Shiraz grapes are carefully selected for limited release vintages.
Our western-facing vineyard, just 12 kilometres from the CBD, is planted on red-brown clay and sandy loam with a high proportion of shale rocks. These soils are similar to those at Penfolds’ historic Magill Estate, from which our Shiraz cuttings originate. Clay-loam profiles of this type are known to produce Shiraz with firm, fine tannins, savoury dark fruit character, spice and structural definition.
“Wine retains the taste of the soil in which it is grown.”
— Pliny the Elder
