Yay, it's official!
Thank you so much for booking your wedding at Marybank.
We're so happy to be part of your day. Our goal is to make your wedding weekend as relaxed, beautiful and stress-free as possible.
This guide will help you find your way around the estate, understand what's included in your hire, and plan the day with your on-the-day coordinator. We'll also send helpful emails along the way to keep you on track.
We can't wait to see your vision come to life at Marybank.

the estate
Each space has its own charm, giving you flexibility for your ceremony, reception and photos.
The ceremony lawn. North-facing under the ornamental pear for soft, romantic shade, or south-facing with the pencil pines for a stately backdrop.
The barn courtyard. Perfect for dancing under the stars or a cocktail hour.
The deck & verandah. Ideal for long tables for a seated dinner, or cocktail styling.
The barn foyer. A versatile space for your bar, or a welcoming spot for guests before the reception.
The barn function space. Whitewashed walls and industrial lighting. Great for lounge areas, a photo booth, a wet-weather ceremony or an indoor dance floor.

You're welcome to bring in your own furniture, décor and hire items. Just let us know ahead of time, and check delivery times with us first. We're pretty flexible.

A few things that keep the estate safe and the day running smoothly. Your contract has the full terms.
Guests & music
Celebrate well
Drinks and music finish at 11:30pm, with all guests off the property by midnight.
No gatherings in the Barn Loft during the event.
No drugs or illegal activity. If this happens, we reserve the right to contact police and take action.
Parking & access
Getting here
Guests enter via 404 Montacute Road, Rostrevor, with plenty of parking on site.
Elderly guests or those with limited mobility can be dropped off at the Barn. The driveway is one-way and can be busy during setup.
Bridal cars can make a special entrance via 21 Orbona Street.
The Barn Loft carpark is behind the Barn. Suppliers and guests should follow signage and directions from our team.
Lighting & fire safety
We're in a high fire risk area
No DIY lighting. All lighting must be installed by a licensed supplier.
Candles must be fully enclosed.
Sparklers are allowed on the paved area of the Barn Courtyard.
On total fire ban days, no open flames, candles or sparklers.
Smoking is only allowed in the Milking Shed, where the ashtray is. Please don't drop butts on the driveways: we back onto farmland and the national park.
Confetti
Dried or fresh rose petals and other natural, biodegradable options are welcome. Confetti, glitter, rice and balloon releases aren't permitted.

Your venue hosts
Brie and Billy look after the estate itself. That's your emails along the way, recommended suppliers, these guidelines, a planning meeting three to six months out, and opening the gates on your wedding day. We don't set up furniture, style or run the day itself.
Your on-the-day coordinator
Every weekend wedding includes a professional on-the-day coordinator, booked by you. You don't need a full wedding planner, just someone to run the day: overseeing setup, keeping your suppliers and timings on track, and looking after pack-down at night, so you and your families can relax and enjoy every moment.
Book early
Please send us your coordinator's name and contact details at least 6 months before your wedding. Need a recommendation? Just ask us, or Gabi from Olive.

Spend your wedding night upstairs in the heritage barn. The Barn Loft sleeps two, with a master bedroom, kitchen, lounge and a modern bathroom. Breakfast provisions, chocolates and a bottle of Marybank wine are waiting.

Your wedding night is upstairs in the heritage barn. The Barn Loft has a king bedroom, a spacious living area, a large kitchen and a walk-in shower, plus two small balconies for a quiet morning coffee. Add the night before if you'd like the space for getting ready.

01 Now

02 Six months out
Your $3,000 venue payment is due. Send us your coordinator's details and start your menu with Olive.
03 Three to six months out
Your planning meeting with us to talk through your layout, timings and setup.
04 Three months out
Final venue balance due.
05 30 days out
Furniture, lighting and décor finalised and confirmed in your event order with Olive.
06 Your wedding weekend
Set up from 2pm the day before, celebrate, stay in the Barn Loft, and check out by 11am the next morning.
Making the most of Marybank
Photo spots
The gardens are your playground for photos: sunset in the vineyard, under the old fig tree, the Barn exterior and the flower garden paths. Bring your photographer for a walk before the day to map out the best spots for your timeline.
Recommended suppliers
Coordinators, stylists, celebrants, photographers, lighting, hire, entertainment and more, all of whom know Marybank well.
